How Publicis and Microsoft Are Shaping the Future of Agentic AI for Marketers

Publicis has made AI a crucial component of its growth strategy, and officials have declared that they want the Leo and Starcom owner to be known as the MVP, or most valuable partner, in terms of technology. Company leaders have also noted some of the challenges of scaling and producing measurable benefit from AI, as well as the high development expenses.

Publicis and Microsoft previously worked to create Marcel, an internal AI tool that the firm debuted in 2018. Doubling down on its cooperation with Microsoft might give Publicis an advantage in the AI race, with an emphasis on Epsilon and its consultancy arm, Sapient, which is shifting toward corporate AI transformation. The agreement aims to “embed agentic AI across the entire flow of work” for marketers and bring more unity to a patchwork AI ecosystem, according to the statement.

“By combining Microsoft’s cloud and AI capabilities with Publicis Groupe Solutions built on Azure, we are enabling creatives and makers to spend less time on repetitive execution and more time shaping ideas, building brands, and driving meaningful growth for our customers,” said Judson Althoff, CEO of Microsoft’s commercial business, in a press release.
