Kuwait Confirms No Ebola Cases: How Border Screenings Are Keeping the Country Safe

Kuwait has stated that screening procedures at border crossings have been tightened and that there are no Ebola cases in the nation. Preventative steps have been adopted as a preventive measure to monitor the sickness, according to Dr. Abdullah Al Sund, the official spokesperson for the nation’s Ministry of Health.

Al Sund’s list of preventative measures is as follows:

Protocols for monitoring and surveillance of newcomers to the nation have been reinforced.

Thermal screening systems and preventative evaluation techniques have been put into place.

Residents of Kuwait have been warned not to visit South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or Uganda during this time.

In the event of any new developments, which are constantly monitored, public health and rapid response teams are prepared.

The spokeswoman reaffirmed that there are no Ebola cases in Kuwait and advised the public to only get information from official sources.
The World Health Organization said on Wednesday that the Ebola outbreak that has been connected to over 130 deaths in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo most likely began two months ago and is predicted to continue spreading.

Experts are concerned about the outbreak of the uncommon Bundibugyo strain, for which there is no vaccine, because of how long it went unnoticed while spreading throughout a densely populated area, making it challenging to identify and isolate the contacts of sick people. The epidemic was announced last Friday.
