TBILISI: Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority, or SDAIA, received the UN Public Service Award for the National Data Bank and the Estishraf digital platform at the UN Public Service Forum in Tbilisi.
The victory follows an international competition that received more than 700 entries from 62 nations, from which the UN chose 12 winning initiatives worldwide, including both SDAIA systems. The prize is the most prestigious UN distinction in public service development, honoring excellent government efforts.
This achievement shows the Kingdom’s superior position in data and artificial intelligence, as well as the success of its national ecosystem in using modern technologies to enhance decision-making and meet the Vision 2030 goals.
The National Data Bank improves data quality and exchange among government entities in a secure setting, hence promoting a data-driven digital economy. The Estishraf platform employs data and artificial intelligence (AI) to aid decision-making by providing predictive indicators and analytics that help anticipate issues and increase planning efficiency.
