RIYADH: Advanced technology and strategic agreements reached with Chinese businesses during a ministerial visit are expected to impact Saudi Arabia’s automotive sector positively.
From September 1 to 8, a delegation headed by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef will visit China and Singapore. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the goal of the visit is to improve bilateral ties, attract foreign investment to Saudi Arabia, and explore potential joint ventures in the industrial sector.
Alkhorayef explored Guangzhou MINO Equipment Co. and the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development District while on the trip. He talked with the company’s vice president about possible joint ventures for producing advanced automobiles.
This project helps Saudi Arabia achieve its ambition to become a major automotive hub and a pioneer in cutting-edge, environmentally friendly car technology.
With 40% of all automobile sales in the Middle East and North Africa, the Saudi automotive market is a major participant in the region.
Alkhorayef wrote the following in a post on X: “I learnt about China’s experience in developing industrial cities during my tour of the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, which was the first part of my official visit to China.
