A Biotech Initiative to Support Saudi Inventors

RIYADH: To support Saudi innovators in biotechnology and life sciences, the Ministry of Health has started a biotechnology accelerator program. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the effort is to increase their commercial and scientific preparedness, draw in investment, and broaden their worldwide market reach.

In line with the National Biotechnology Strategy and the Health Sector Transformation Program under Vision 2030, which aims to create a prosperous, innovation-driven economy and a vibrant society with sustainable health and quality of life, it also aims to increase their contributions to healthcare quality.

The seven-month program provides networking opportunities with local and foreign professionals and investors, as well as mentorship and capacity building. Workshops, seminars, one-on-one consultations, and the opportunity to showcase discoveries at the BIO 2025 Conference are all included. The application deadline is May 8. Final acceptances will be issued on May 25 after interviews and the first selection, which will take place from May 15 to May 20.

The ministry continues to promote health innovation and quicken the development of innovative national initiatives. All Saudi inventors, business owners, and startups are urged to sign up for the initiative and send an inquiry to redbiotech@moh.gov.sa.
