At the ICAO Forum, the GACA Chief emphasises Saudi Arabia's leadership in the world in the field of advanced air mobility.

Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), affirmed that the national aviation sector’s efforts to realise the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building a diversified economy are causing the Saudi civil aviation sector to undergo an unparalleled transformation in terms of its size and speed.

He said this while speaking at the inaugural International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Forum on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), which is taking place from September 9–12 in Montreal, Canada. Al-Duailej leads the Saudi delegation that will be attending the conference. Salvatore Sciacchitano, president of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, senior civil aviation officials from ICAO member states, and global aviation industry leaders are in attendance at the conference.

Al-Duailej noted that the authority has released an advanced air mobility road map and said that Saudi Arabia’s involvement reflects its pioneering role in aviation in particular and international civil aviation in general. This map announced a broad shift using seven primary axes: adopting technical solutions, creating infrastructure, attaining comprehensive governance, fostering trust, drawing investments, establishing policies and procedures, and empowering human capital.
