NAZA, a new documentary that was directed by the same individuals who were responsible for the Oscar-winning Israeli-Palestinian production “No Other Land,” will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival the following month, according to the organisers who announced the news on Monday.
The systems behind Israel’s calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza,” the film, which will be competing for the Golden Lion prize, is said to be about, according to a summary that was published on the website of the film festival.
The video is directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, who are two of the four co-directors of “No Other Land,” a film that depicts the tale of Palestinian activists who are attempting to protect a cluster of communities in the occupied West Bank from being demolished by the Israeli military.
Additionally, Jonathan Glazer serves as an executive producer on the film NAZA, produced by The Guardian and James Wilson (JW Films). “The Zone of Interest,” which was nominated for an Academy Award and won, was directed by Wilson and Glazer and was set in the concentration camp of Auschwitz.
NAZA is “an Israeli military acronym used euphemistically by Israeli intelligence to indicate the number of civilians that it expects will be killed in an airstrike,” according to The Guardian. They explain that NAZA is an acronym for the Israeli military.
