KSrelief Delivers 24,500 Meals to Support Palestinians in Gaza

RIYADH: As part of the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts, 24,500 hot meals were given to Palestinian families in the central and southern Gaza Strip on Sunday by the Saudi relief organization the King Salman Humanitarian relief and Relief Center. After more than two years of Israeli conflict in the region, KSrelief constructed a central kitchen in central Gaza in late February and has since fed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians living in difficult conditions.

In collaboration with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the project was a component of the Saudi Popular Campaign for the Relief of the Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the project also made it possible for 40 local laborers to be employed.

Nearly 90% of Gaza’s population lives in poverty and lacks access to basic requirements for children and newborns, including food, water, and medicine. Following October 2023, Saudi Arabia was among the first nations to launch air, sea, and land relief convoys to Gaza, delivering aid via dozens of vessels and over 80 aircraft through crossings into Egypt and Jordan.
