Saudi Arabia Reacts Strongly to Attacks on Gulf Countries

RIYADH: According to the Foreign Ministry, Saudi Arabia denounced drone assaults on Sunday that targeted Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Two drones from Iran were captured by the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, while a cargo ship from Abu Dhabi was struck in its waters by a drone attack, according to Qatar. Kuwait claimed that hostile drones that had infiltrated its airspace had been neutralized by its air defenses.

The Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom reaffirmed its support for any actions taken by Gulf governments to safeguard their stability and security. The Kingdom demands an immediate halt to the blatant attacks on the territories and territorial waters of Gulf states, as well as to any attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt international waterways,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry went on, “It highlights the significance of adhering to the protection of international maritime routes in accordance with relevant international laws. The UAE was attacked again on Friday, and there have been intermittent battles between Iranian forces and US vessels in the strait, marking the largest flare-ups in fighting in and around the strait since a ceasefire started.
