RIYADH: When requesting a final exit visa, the Saudi General Directorate of Passports has stated that resident IDs must be valid for a minimum of 30 days.
In an address to employers, the directorate stated that the last exit visa may not be granted if a resident identity is valid for less than 30 days. The last exit visa must then be issued after the resident identity has been renewed. It said that a final exit visa may be granted for the remainder of the resident identity’s validity if it is valid for more than 30 days but less than 60 days.
The last exit visa may only be granted for a maximum of 60 days if the resident identity is valid for 60 days or longer. The directorate pointed out that employers can use the Muqeem site and the Absher Business platform of the Ministry of Interior to grant final exit permits to their sponsored employees or related family members.
