In a ceremony on Thursday in Amman, Saudi Arabia gave the State of Palestine the third installment of its financial support for 2024, totaling $10 million. This action demonstrates the Kingdom’s dedication to aiding the Palestinian people and raises the overall amount of money given to Palestine each month to $30 million.
The Saudi ambassador to Jordan, non-resident ambassador to Palestine, and consul general in Jerusalem, Naif Al-Sudairi, presented the installment to Palestinian Finance Minister Omar Bitar at the embassy’s offices.
Bitar spoke at the event and commended the Kingdom’s longstanding support for Palestine’s legitimate rights and creation of an independent Palestine state. In appreciation of the Kingdom’s leadership’s ongoing political, economic, and humanitarian support, the minister sent congratulations from Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa and President Mahmoud Abbas.
Bitar emphasized how crucial this assistance is to easing the financial catastrophe that Israel’s policies are causing in the State of Palestine. Ambassador Al-Sudairi, for his part, reiterated the Kingdom’s unwavering dedication to defending Palestinian rights. He pointed out that over the years, the Kingdom has consistently given the Palestinian people financial support in the form of relief, development, and humanitarian assistance.
