AL-SAYAHID: The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture’s pavilion at the 10th annual King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in Al-Sayahid has drawn crowds with handcrafted goods, traditional Al-Sadu weaving, and heritage clothing. Some of the most recognizable traditional women’s outfits are on display, showcasing the depth and genuineness of Saudi heritage. Artist Helail bin Rizqallah Al-Harthi discussed his festival experience and highlighted the “tremendous efforts that our nation continues to make to support and preserve heritage.
He thanked the ministry for providing the pavilion to display national heritage crafts and emphasized the extraordinary increase in interest in traditional handcrafted goods in an unprecedented manner over the past several years.
Munirah Al-Rabeeah, a specialist and trainer in traditional clothing, claimed to have recreated a number of historical ensembles that were influenced by notable Saudi women, including Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman and Ghaliyya Al-Bogammiah, and displayed them at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Handicrafts Exhibition. Munirah Al-Rabeeah, a traditional clothing expert and trainer, claimed to have replicated a number of ancient ensembles that were influenced by notable Saudi women.
