Why Iran Is Demanding the US Fulfill Its Nuclear Agreement Commitments

On Monday, Iran announced that it would no longer adhere to the memorandum of understanding that it had signed with the United States of America in the event that the United States failed to carry out its pledges to bring an end to the war.

Every time the other party has failed to fulfill its promises, we have failed to make good on our own duties. In the wake of the most recent round of hostilities between the adversaries, Esmaeil Baqaei, a spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at a press conference in Tehran that they will continue to behave in this manner.

Tehran is continuing negotiations with mediators from Qatar, Pakistan, and Oman, according to Baqaei, in an effort to avert any further escalation of the conflict it is now engaged in with the United States. Furthermore, Baqaei stated that it is the responsibility of the mediators to maintain their efforts to prevent an escalation of hostilities.

On the other hand, the Mehr news agency in Iran said that explosions were heard within the vicinity of Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island in the early afternoon on Monday. It was reported on Monday by state media that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed to have attacked military targets and bases belonging to the United States of America in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Numerous claims that were made by the Guards were cited by the official news agency IRNA. These announcements stated that the Guards had assaulted numerous air bases, including Ali Al-Salem in Kuwait, Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, and a US military drone command center in Bahrain.
