LONDON: On Thursday, a mob of Israeli settlers attacked a plant nursery in the village of Deir Sharaf, approximately five miles west of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, injuring three Palestinians and setting numerous cars on fire.
The settlers attacked those inside the Al-Junaidi nursery after storming it. Two other persons suffered bruising and other injuries, while a 65-year-old guy had his hand fractured. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, all three were brought to the hospital for medical attention. According to the agency, the perpetrators also set fire to many cars at the nursery, causing substantial damage.
There are 700,000 settlers and approximately 3.3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. International law views the Israeli settlements there as unlawful, and many see them as a barrier to the creation of a Palestinian state in the future.
Since the start of the Gaza conflict in October 2023, settlers have upped their attacks on Palestinian homes and localities in the West Bank. In certain instances, Palestinians have lost their lives. In the town of Deir Sharaf, close to Nablus, Israelis stormed a plant nursery, causing significant damage.
Two people are left with bruises and other injuries after a 65-year-old man breaks his hand.
