The UAE is still one of the most desired places in the world to visit, live and work. The government promotes and revises the different types of visas from time to time to promote and facilitate the flow of global talent and investment into the country.
This year alone, the UAE has introduced new categories under Golden Visa and visit visa schemes, and amended several restrictions with respect to applications and eligibility, altering how visitors, professionals and residents handle entrance and residency regulations.
In February, the UAE extended its visa-on-arrival scheme to accommodate Indian nationals who hold valid resident cards from six additional countries. Indian nationals carrying ordinary passports with valid resident permits of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea and Singapore can receive a visa on arrival at any entry point to the UAE.
This extension was an addition to the existing eligibility requirements which permitted Indian people to get a visa on arrival if they have a valid visa, resident permit or Green Card from US, European Union or UK.
