A teenage girl was slain by an Israeli strike in Gaza City on Monday as she walked to her high school to take an exam, according to relatives in Deir Al Balah, Gaza. According to Jameel Ashour, a relative, Raghad Hassan Ashour, 16, was en route to the 11th grade examination when the explosion occurred on a busy street in the Rimal district.
The military stated that the assault was directed at a Hamas militant; however, it was cognizant of a claim that a “uninvolved individual” was injured. After the girl’s corpse was transported to Shifa Hospital, a number of Palestinians, including Ashour’s mother, convened to mourn her. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that three additional individuals were injured in impacts that occurred in the same vicinity.
Groups of individuals congregated around two demolished vehicles in videos of the strike and its aftermath. Bloodstains were visible on the ground, and rescue personnel were also present. Despite the armistice agreement that was established in October, Israel has continued to conduct airstrikes in Gaza. Civilians have also been slain, despite the military’s assertion that it targets Hamas and other militants who pose a threat and has accused the group of violating the ceasefire.
