According to ABHA, projects that aim to improve the urban landscape, as well as humanize roads and public facilities, have become an essential component of the Saudi Arabia municipality’s attempts to improve the quality of life in Asir’s cities and to boost economic and commercial activity.
These initiatives are a part of the ongoing efforts that the municipality is doing to improve the urban environment and the experience that both residents and visitors have in those environments. Abdullah Al-Jali, the Mayor of the Asir area, stated that the municipality began conducting urban landscape maintenance initiatives in 2022.
The projects include improvements to roads, sidewalks, street lighting, public amenities, and elements that are centered on people. These improvements will result in public areas that are safer and more dynamic, while also increasing the attraction of commercial and tourist locations.
According to Al-Jali, the humanization projects have progressed beyond the realm of aesthetic embellishments and have become an efficient instrument for bolstering the economy of the local community and encouraging commercial activity. Additionally, he stated that they enhance the effectiveness of public areas and provide a more satisfying experience for visitors in metropolitan regions and tourist locations.
