JEDDAH: Saudi developer and owner ROSHN has renovated Jeddah’s well-liked waterfront promenade.
Opened in 2017 and renamed ROSHN Waterfront in 2022, the area offers a variety of facilities, entertainment options, and attractions. Every year, over 55 million people visit the website.
The Public Investment Fund owns ROSHN in its entirety. According to the organization, the renovations will improve the public space, encourage community involvement, and give creative individuals more power.
A community painting by Saudi artists that honors the qualities of Jeddah, a city by the Red Sea, and the unique components that symbolize ROSHN’s work will be displayed on the facade walkway.
The walkway spans 16,000 square meters, measuring 3,200 meters in length and five meters in width.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, over 200 Jeddah volunteers are implementing the new walkway design.
Public access to the new waterfront will begin in early June.
ROSHN has been holding a competition in recent months to encourage Saudi artists to submit designs for walking, running, and bicycle paths on the walkway.
