The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, examined the General Department of Airport Security’s strategic initiatives and future plans.
As Dubai gets ready for a new stage of expansion in the global aviation industry, with the goal of dominating international aviation for the next 40 years, the initiatives of these departments are in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. Al Marri also examined the General Department of Airport Security’s current systems, programs, and technologies, as well as the strategic indicators and the preparedness of core operations.
In order to protect the aviation industry and guarantee effective processing for airport customers, this places the force in a position to serve as a model for modern security operations. We successfully safeguarded 87 million travelers and passengers as well as approximately two million tonnes of cargo in 2023 by working with partners. Everything was done effectively and professionally, giving passengers and travelers utilizing Dubai’s airports a safe travel experience,” Al Marri added.
He added that Dubai’s airports are now the most significant in the world and are at the forefront of civil aviation. Given the volume of activities at Dubai’s busy airports, the Dubai Police has created security measures to safeguard the airports and guarantee the efficient flow of people and goods.
