SAP’s generative AI program Joule is poised to transform business operations as companies in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf area strive for increased productivity, creativity, and profitability.
Through the direct integration of state-of-the-art AI capabilities into corporate processes, the German software company hopes to improve decision-making, expedite workflows, and increase productivity in many industries.
During his remarks at the recent SAP Sapphire conference in Barcelona, Spain, Ahmed Al-Faifi, senior vice president and managing director of SAP Middle East and North Africa, highlighted the influence of AI on the region.
“Our region, where the public and private sectors have embraced the digital transformation necessary to leverage AI technologies, is particularly relevant to SAP’s partnerships at Sapphire and its groundbreaking use of generative AI,” Al-Faifi added.
At the center of this change is Joule, SAP’s generative AI copilot for natural language. By the end of 2024, Joule—which is intended to streamline processes and enhance results—should be able to handle 80% of the most frequent actions carried out by SAP’s 300 million end customers.
This change has the potential to boost production by 20%, which would be extremely advantageous for Gulf region enterprises.
