RIYADH: During a panel discussion at LEAP Saudi Arabia 2026, speakers said governments, tech firms, and social sector organisations must collaborate to ensure communities are not left behind by the rapid development of artificial intelligence.
Technology and industry executives gathered on the World Tech Stage for a session titled “Bridging Global Gaps in Digital Inclusion: Government and Cross-Nation Strategies” to talk about accessibility, AI infrastructure, talent development, and the necessity of cross-border policies.
Samar Al-Shorfa, founding CEO of She is Arab; Priscila Bossi, vice president of technology for SSEA, CIS, and MEA at Philip Morris International; Wojciech Bajda, vice president and head of MENAR at Iron Mountain; and Lana Khalaf, public sector lead for MEA at Microsoft, participated in the conversation, which was moderated by media personality Solange El Rassi.
Al-Shorfa emphasised the value of working with groups that have direct linkages to underprivileged communities and forming public-private partnerships. She stated, “We should concentrate on utilising public-private partnerships and partnerships with the social sector because, once more, they are the ones that can reach the most communities.”
