RIYADH: Some of the most disadvantaged individuals in the globe are still receiving much-needed humanitarian supplies from the Saudi charitable organisation KSrelief. More than 8,000 individuals benefited from the distribution of 1,350 food packages to poor and displaced families in Northern State, Sudan, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
In Yemen, 19,200 people benefited from the distribution of 3,200 cartons of dates to needy groups in the Midi and Haradh districts of the Hajjah governorate, while 372 amputees received medical care at the prosthetics and rehabilitation centre, which was funded by KSrelief.
Over a month, the centre provided about 954 services. These comprised patient rehabilitation and physiotherapy, as well as the measurement, production, and fitting of prosthesis, delivery, and maintenance services.
With involvement from a range of medical specialities, KSrelief continues its 30th volunteer program in Jordan at the Syrian refugee camp in Zaatari. Nearly 600 patients have benefited from the program’s dermatology, gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine, bone tumours, and physiotherapy services to date.
