Apple has encountered multiple development obstacles that have delayed the project, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. Previous projections indicated a commercial debut in early 2027 and an announcement in 2026. But according to the most recent timeline, the business needs additional time to improve the product before releasing it.
Although the wearable is anticipated to compete with items like Meta’s Ray-Ban smart spectacles, Apple seems eager to set itself apart through usefulness and style. According to the source, the glasses may come with inbuilt cameras, a variety of frame shapes, and distinctive colors.
According to earlier rumors, Apple has been exploring a number of designs, including smaller rectangular and oval-shaped choices as well as frames that resemble traditional Wayfarer-style glasses. It is anticipated that the smart glasses will have extensive Siri integration, built-in microphones and speakers for calls and media playback, and cameras for taking pictures and movies.
