Applications for Spanish visas from AE residents must now be made straight thru the official BLS International website, bypassing any middlemen. The goal of this new approach is to stop fraud and appointment slot abuse.
The decision was made by the visa service provider “in response to evolving market demands and to enhance our technical infrastructure.” According to BLS International, the Visa Application Center (VAC) will not accept appointments arranged thru third parties.
The visa service provider advised applicants to be on the lookout for fraud, regardless of whether someone is trying to influence visa decisions or selling appointments. According to BLS, the appropriate Spanish authorities are the only ones who decide whether to grant or deny visas, and the company has no say in the matter. Applicants should use BLS’s formal complaint channels to report any questionable payment requests or offers of special help.
Additionally, BLS cautioned that its employes will never request cash or any other type of payment from visa applicants in order to acquire an earlier appointment, speed up the visa application process, or sway decisions.
