To get an Alternative House worker Visa without Paying a Government fee, Musaned Establishes Five Requirements

The requirements for getting an alternative compensated visa in the case that domestic workers depart the Kingdom on a final departure within ninety days of their date of admission were disclosed by the National Platform for Domestic Worker Services in the Kingdom (Musaned).

One of the requirements is that domestic workers must be deported within ninety days of their arrival during the system-permitted probationary period. Among the requirements are that the alternative visa must be granted within two years of the worker’s departure and that the total number of visas cannot surpass the maximum number allowed by the system. In the Absher system, the worker’s travel status will be outside the Kingdom and their status will be final exit.

Musaned listed domestic worker, female domestic worker, and private driver as the occupations for which the alternative compensatory visa is granted. Musaned clarified that the employer’s personal account on the Musaned platform can be used to grant the alternative compensatory visa.

Notably, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development launched the home employment and household services program in 2016, and Musaned is its official platform. It is one of the ministry’s efforts to advance the Kingdom’s hiring industry. In addition to defending their rights, Musaned offers a number of services to enhance and streamline the hiring process and to settle any grievances or disagreements that may arise between the contracting parties.
