RIYADH: Next month, Saudi Arabia will host a four-day UNESCO forum in Riyadh that will bring together world experts in technology, policymakers, and international organizations with the goal of influencing global perspectives on the moral advancement and management of artificial intelligence.
The topic of debate at the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, which will take place from September 14 to 17, will be how governments and tech firms can capitalize on AI’s rapid progress while guaranteeing its responsible and reliable usage.
In collaboration with UNESCO and the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) will host the forum. The event, which will include high-level talks and specialized seminars, is anticipated to be attended by executives from large international corporations, technology specialists, legislators, and members of international organizations.
AI ethics and governance, responsible innovation, capacity building, and international policy are some of the primary topics on the table as governments around the world struggle to control more potent AI systems without impeding technological advancement.
